Hello all! I am trying to play a game called World of Warcraft. When I try to connect I get connecting but it hangs there and does nothing else. It used to work a few days ago. I was told by the companies tech support department it was my firewall. I unistalled zonealarm, but windows security center still says I have an active firewall. I also disabled Windows XP's firewall. I have the correct ports forwarded to my pc from my router. My question is how in the world can I figure out what is blocking my connecting to the world of warcraft server??

    Thank you!!

You could check your processes and google them until you get a firewall hit. There are often "hidden" firewalls in Antivirus software. PC-Illan is notorious for this. There is often "hidden" firewalls in VPN client software. CISCO VPN Client is notorious for this.

If you are behind a router, you need to make a port forwarding entry. Be carefull as many modems have a router component.

Does PCanywhere have a firewall built in?? I have forwarded the ports correctly. I have checked my processes, but may need to check more carefully.
