Resolved ac client with g router

    My wireless router is 802.11g (ISP provided). I'd like to purchase a HP Pavilion X2-10T tablet. It has an Intel ac wifi card. Will the tablet talk to my router? Seems to me it should, but internet searches are all concerned with ac routers. :confused:

    Thanks, MrBill. Each wifi iteration has always been backwards compatible, but I read that ac only uses 5gHz, and I'm not sure my router does anything but 2.4. Now I can spend my money.

    ac cards have both 5 and 2.4GHz, otherwise they wouldn't be backwards compatible. See the specs of your card: Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260

    ac only uses 5GHz, but you'll be using the g spec...
