Can Sent Folder Files in OE6 be Recovered?

In windows XP Home, using Outlook Express 6, I accidently deleted a lot of files in the Sent Folder. Is there a way to recover these files? Bodily harm may be unavoidable...they were in my wifts's mail folder!!!!!

I should have provided a little more detail .....

The deleted files from the Sent Folder should be in the Deleted Items Folder in OE provided that you do not have the option to empty the Deleted Items folder on exiting OE set - Tools > Options > Maintenance tab. If they are drag them back into the Sent Items folder.

If the Deleted Items folder has been emptied then they will be in Deleted Items.dbx provided that OE has not compacted the files in the meantime - you should have been advised and agreed to compaction.
