I have deleted several appointments which had been recurring appointments. However, I have ghost reminders -- that is, reminders that pop up and which I cannot 'dismiss'. I have run Windows diagnostics but that did not change anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try a repair and if that does not work uninstall and then install outlook. I have seen this before but cannot remember the fix as it was a few years ago.

I did a repair which did nothing. Ok, uninstall and reinstall. Can I just ask a really STUPID and BASIC question: will that process wipe out my inbox, calendar, tasks etc? For some reason I am never 100% complete when I export everything and reinstall. Thanks for answering a basic question.
