Lost email [unable to locate on external drive after backup - Outlook 2003]

I am using Outlook 2003 with Vista operating system. about a week ago, 3 vista computers on my home network started crashing (the xp computer doesn't). I tried to back up my hard drive, but could not because the computer would get the blue screen every 5 minutes or so. It never crashed in safe mode, but I couldn't backup in safe. Using safe mode, I made a folder on an external hard drive and did a drag and drop of the whole "C" drive to the external drive. I then used the recovery disks and restored Vista on my computer. I then loaded Outlook 2003 again and I can't find my contacts or emails on the external drive. All of my contacts, appointments, emails ect should be on the external drive, but where? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Unless you changed the defaults look for a file called Outlook.pst in the folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.

But first enable show hidden files and folders under Explorers Organize - Folder and Search Options - View tab

Copy the file to the same place on your restored drive
