[jpeg not seen on receipt when sent with .pdf]

When attaching a jpeg along with a pdf document only, no pictures, the one receiving the email does not see the jpeg when they click on the email. What do I have to do to make the jpeg show up when they receive it?

I do not remember when I used both jpg and pdf together. My guess is to send each one seperate and give this a chance. Let me know and I will dig. Also what kind of system prog [XP, Win98] and manufacture do you have [HP, Dell, etc]

For me, there's nothing you can do other than give me a call and ask permission. For others you may need to do nothing. For some the recipient may need to set up some rules.

To be honest this issue is more likely to be at the receivers end than yours.

What ISP are you using, what mail client are you using, what ISP is your recipient using, what mail client are they using, what rules (if any) have they (or their ISP) set etc...

retiree913 - Welcome to the Board

It would have been helpful to post which emailer you are using - Outlook, Outlook Express, etc. Assuming OE check that the following settings are made .....

Tools > Options > Send - check HTML then click on HTML settings and check 'Send pictures with messages'.

Is it only one recipient or more that do not see the picture?

I am using XP and my system was built by a small company in Florida. No brand name. I use the emails for doing massive mailings for an inspection company. I use a program called WorldMerge to send the emails. I can send a copy to myself and my daughter and we get the jpg but my son with Embarqmail and AOL can't see the jpeg. I use OE.

Thanks for your help.

I tried changing the info in tools like you said but it didn't work. I have to send the pdf and jpeg at the same time because I send the email to about 500 people at a time.

Thanks.

That may have some vague bearing on it, but if all 500 are delivered I guess not. The limit of copies on my ISP is less than 50 to prevent spamming.

It would still be interesting/helpful to know if your son receives both when sent individually - pretty baffled at this end

My son finally fixed the problem for me. He wrote a program on my WorldMerge so that the jpeg would show up when sending to multiple emails. I have a business account so I can send multiple emails out.

Thanks so much for your help.
