Outlook Express not reading "all" html emails

Hi All! I tried sending this question to other forums, but got no luck. I hope some MVPers or anyone else can help me out.

Here's my question:

Why does my Outlook Express seem to recognize only SOME html emails (i.e. images and links do not show)? And how can I make OE recognize all HTML emails without having the images & links deleted from the email.

It seems to be happening when I receive email from certain senders. When I view the source code of the unsuccessfully received html email within OE, I notice that all the html code has been stripped out, except for the url location of the images.

I am not having this problem at all on MS Outlook.

Here are a few things I've already tried:
1. Unchecked "read messages as plain text" in OE
2. I loosened all security functions in OE (just to test)
3. Made sure "compose message format" was HTML (while trying a test html send from Outlook)
4. I tried sending the same html file that was unsuccessfully opened in OE to a gmail account and everything to worked as it should.

I considered that this problem (stripping of html tags) could be happening at the mailserver level, but I don't think that's the case since I have Outlook installed and I have no problem with that HTML email in Outlook.

Sorry about this long post-- just trying to give as much info as possible to help diagnose this issue.

Thanks in advance for the help!
