MS Outlook refuses to remember password. Tried MS support but still failed.

Hi everyone, first post here.

Anyway, i'd like to know if anyone here can help me with my problem. I have checked here ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684 ) but it does not work even though i followed the instructions VERY carefully.

I am using Win XP pro, and MS Outlook 2003. I have several email accounts (POP) which has no problem.

The main problem is an account with Microsoft Exchange Server. It keeps prompting me for the password everytime i start Outlook. I have checked the account settings, and 'Always prompt for user name and password' have been left unchecked.

Anyone has any ideas?

Also, with regards to the link to the article above, at point number 7. Click to select the Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects check box. i seem to have some problems with this. Everytime i checked the box and press apply, the box automatically unchecks itself. Is this normal?

yes i do get mail when i enter password. the problem is that it always asks for password, which puzzles my email account administrator too.

and yes, i have tried deleting account info and setting back up so many times i was about to give up until i saw this forum
