Hi. First time poster here. I have done a search of this forum with no success.
I need to import contact information into Outlook 2003 (running on XP Pro/SP2). All my contact information is in Filemaker Pro. As a first step, I can export the information successfully to Excel or Microsoft Works Database and then export it as .csv or .txt files. I had expected to be able to import that data into Outlook Contacts. But every time I try, in whatever way I try, Outlook gives me an error message that says:
"A file error hs occurred in the Comma Separated Values translator while initializing a translator to build a field map."
I get an error message whether I use Comma or Tab Separated Values and whether I use either the Windows or DOS selections in the import wizard.
Does any here have experience or advice on this process? I have so many contacts and so much data to import from Filemaker that it really is impractical to do it by hand. Thanks for any advice.
