Default mail client problem

When I click on a mailto link, it says that the default mail client is improperly installed. Then I get 57 windows in internet explorer (file not found). Where do I set the mail client?
I have XP home with Outlook 2003.

mailto problem

I tried that. It's set to Microsoft Office Outlook. I also tried setting it to Outlook Express with the same results.
