Duplicate Contact folders

Outlook from Office 2003
When I start a new email and click "To..." I get an error. I click Ok on the error and it takes me to a blank contact dialog. If I click at the top where it says "Show Names From The:" I can see 2 contact folders and the second one has all my contacts in it. How do I delete the first one??

Hi Ron. Can't give you specifics with pictures from my system since I'm at work and Exchange Server does things a little differently.

Take a look Here and change the order in which your contacts folders are checked. Put the one with stuff as the first to be checked.

Once that is working, you can safely get rid of the empty one.

Newt, I have 2 lines that say "Contacts". I do not know where these folders are. So I can't do the things that the link you mentioned say to do.

Newt, Thanks that was too easy. I should have found it myself. I just started to use Outlook, I am not sure I like it yet over OE. It is not as fast as OE and it does not support news.

The location is not intuitive. I had to look around a while and I knew it was there somewhere.

I run Outlook for mail/contacts/etc. and OE for newsgroups.
