    You should Google-> Ox800CCCF
    and see all of the info available.

    Did you make ANY type of change to your pc and or move the pc to another location with a different ISP?

    Thanks for speedy reply Steve. This is what comes up when I try to send mail:-

    An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'LAMP LAMP.jpg [25/25]', Account: 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk', Server: 'relay.plus.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 Suspicious message', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F

    I have since had an mail from this address and sent a reply by just clicking on 'reply'and that went through but when I try to send if fresh from my address book this is what I get.

    In answer to your query the only change I made to my pc was to update the Avast security at their request this morning up till then I have had no problem.

    Kind regards

    I would not suggest a system restore at this point, it probably causes more headaches then it solves.

    You mos likely have wrong settings. blueyonder.co.uk is now virginmedia.com.

    For the correct settings see: How do I set up Outlook Express

    Thank you both so much for your advice. Apparently the fault was caused by my security. Avast suggested that I uncheck the SSL box in my settings to allow the mail to be checked but I also did a System Restore as well and all seems to be well at moment (FINGERS CROSSED!!) Once again many grateful thanks don't know what I would do without this site to turn to.

    Snowdrop, if you are with Virgin Media (previously as Arie said blueyonder) and use them for your email accounts I'd suggest you reread Arie's post #5 as even if your email is currently working it is set up incorrectly.

    If your mail is working... no need to do anything else.

    As Steve said, no need to change anything (your server settings for plus net are fine), but your account name of pop3.blueyonder.co.uk is a little misleading.
