Resolved Can't open a pst file

I am using Outlook 2007 under Windows XP Home SP3.

I run an autimatic archive process based on the age of the message and have found that I cannot open the pst file containing the archived messages. I am wondering if the size of the file (1.5gb) is the issue.

Can anyone help to resolve this for me?

You have not stated what error message you receive but try this guide to use the pst repair tool, hope it helps.

I did manage to restore the file but found that the majority of the folders were empty. I tried on the back up with the same result. I guess I will have to accept the fact that I have lost them.
