Using Outlook 2003 with Win XP I can Insert a picture from a file into the body of an e-mail so that you can see the picture as soon as you open the e-mail

Now when using Outlook 2007 with Win 7
It seems as though I can only insert the picture as an attachment to the e-mail so that the recipient has to double click on it to open and see it

Is there some way of inserting the picture as in Outlook 2003?

If so please advise how to do it

    Many thanks

    Hi Pete

    Thanks for prompt reply

There is no Insert picture on the new message pane ? Only:

    Attach

    File, Item, Card, Calender

None of those insert a picture as in Outlook 2003

    Or am I missing something

    Many thanks

In the help section it shows that if you change to Hyper text the attachment will be shown in the body of the e-mail, but it is still an attachment and has to be clicked before you can see it

    Yes :)

Use HTML and as I posted click on the Insert Tab > Insert Picture. This inserts the picture into the body of the mail with no attachment.

See screenshot of picture inserted into a mail - the picture shows the tab, etc highlighted.

Works fine - I have sent that mail to myself - there is no attachment.
