Duplicate send of single message

    Windows XP, SP3,Norton's Anti-virus 2010. OE sends up to 20 copies of a single e-mail, when using "Reply" or "Forward" even when sent to a single recipient. "Send/Recieve" progress freezes, shows an error, but no details given. Then suddenly it goes beserk and resends the message. I have tried disabling outgoing message scan in Norton's, but this hasn't helped, neither did a re-installation of SP3.

    Does this happen will ALL email messages or just one?

    If it happens to all....you could move the mail out of the sent mail folder and then delete the file called:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{E5C4B58E-0072-4A0E-BA21-DD32793F2322}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Sent Itmes.dbx

    Thanks Steve. This happens to any message that I either try to reply to, or forward. New mail doesn't have this problem. It occurs when replying or forwarding mail from my in-box. I don't think that deleting or moving items from the "sent" box will help much. Regards, Rod
