I use Microsoft Outlook 2007, Windows XP S3.

The following information is appearing on a forwarded email , posted on a Group page. It doesn't show up til "Preview" is clicked.

What information is it exactly? And how can I remove it? Any help appreciated. I previously used Outlook Express and didn't have the same problem. Thanks

I don't use Outlook so can't be sure, but it looks like a style sheet relating to the supposedly forwarded message. You automatically get rid of it when you delete the message itself.
One normally only sees such enigmatic looking text when clicking "Message Source" in Outlook Express.

    Thanks for sensible reply Roncesvalles.

I've done some further searching and think it is file called winmail.dat. which Outlook appends of all emails.

I've followed all the tips to not have it show on Outlook, but it still appears... one solution I've found is to use Mozilla Thunderbird for my email programme.

    Thanks again.

Try setting message format to HTML.

Tools > Options > Mail Format > Message Format > HTML.

Then do Internet Format... button > When sending Outlook Rich Text messages to Internet recipients, use this format: Convert to HTML.

Outlook 2007 lost many HTML email featurtes. Previous versions of Outlook used the Internet Explorer engine to create and view HTML email. Outlook 2007 uses Word to create and render HTML email. Word is a decent word processor but is horrible at HTML.

    Thanks for reply TonyT.

I have changed those settings, but to no avail.

However, have discovered it's something to do with using Firefox as my browser. When I use I.E. and go through the same procedure, the codes do not show. Can't for the life of me find any settings to change on Firefox that will get rid of them.

    The plot thickens .........................

When you use Firefox for what? And go through what procedure? When using an email client to post to Newsgroups and such you should use plain text, not html. Outlook adds the .dat file to rich text messages. Online newsgroups use plain text.
