Question

Is Outlook Express going to be obsolete soon?

A friend told me that soon i will have to switch to Windows Live Mail as Outlook Express will no longer be an option? Is it true? Supposedly this June?

Very doubtfull Microsoft is going to reach out to millions of users and destroy their email program...Ask your friend to provide a link to a web site

Question

She said she had received an email yesterday from Microsoft saying as of June 2008 we would have to change to Windows Live Mail. I am wondering now if it was from a fake email going around? I have seen some talk of this, yet did not think they would take it away from those having it? I just thought maybe the new PCs w/ Windows would not be coming with Outlook Express?

Microsoft changed to "Windows Mail" in Vista. It's very similar to Outlook Express.

Yes they are dropping OE Hotmail support!

Crystal Outlook express is just another program and even if M$ dropped support for it you could still use it. They will not make you remove it from your compter.

Even so WindowsMail would be OutLook Express 7.

Slightly different but not radically different. Looks basically the same. You would be at home with it in a very short time.
