If you're bold and adventurous you can maully delete the mail which is stored:

    C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Inbox

Should be able to sort by date and look at the size to make sure you delete the right one.

    C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Inbox

This is a Folder location that you would drill down to in Windows Explorer.
