    Hello All -

A few days ago the text, as I see it on the screen, has changed and gotten smaller looking when I'm composing an e-mail. The font and font size remain the same - it has just gotten smaller as I see it. Does that make sense?

My wife says that she hasn't changed anything and I know I didn't so I don't understand what's going on here. I have asked the people I communicate with if anything has changed on their end and been told that all is as it always has been. I know I need new glasses but this is ridiculous. Any ideas?

    I'm using OE6 version 6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158).

As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated. :) TIA

    Mike

    long shot...

check out display properties, Settings, Advanced, Font Size (where mine usually says "Small Fonts ")

there are other options, though, one of which (for me on W98) says "Other" and gives you a tweak slider...

even if it still says Small Fonts, might it be worth (the old chestnut) setting it to something else, Applying, setting it back to the way you like it, and Apply again

    best wishes, HJ.

yeah - reckon you are "in with a chance" - at least, I've just managed to do it to myself :(

compare 10pt Arial at: 76ppi, 96ppi (normal for me), 115ppi

it's the pixels per inch which is making the difference

not for the faint heated !, it can mess up lots of things, (height of system tray, width & height of buttons & scrollbars, some text but not all

you have to restart before the changes actually "take "; I had to restart twice, the first time give an exception OD (probably just my video drivers)

    best wishes, HJ
