Vista Home Premium Winmail Contacts Problem

while putting an address in contacts I misspelled it, when I noticed I went into contacts deleted and corrected it. The problem is that when I start to fill in an email both the correct/incorrect listings appear in the drop down choice box for selection of which one I want to use to fill in the to: field in the outgoing message. I've tried to find some way to delete the incorrect one but no luck as yet. Any suggestions? All help appreciated, thanks.
