I am trying to recover Outlook Express data from a partially damaged hard drive - good enough to read but too fragile to chance running Windows.
The operating system is Windows XP.
I know in Windows 98 this data is in an identities folder in Windows .
Any idea where this data is stored in XP ?

    C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{long alphanumeric name similar to 01F196D2-8158-419E-AF56-EB888C7B59DB}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Local settings is a hidden folder; to see it , in folder options, view tab, check show hidden files and folders.
