    Hello,

I just reinstalled my OS and now I'm having problems when sending emails from Outlook 2013. I did the test after setting up the account/profile in Outlook, associated my previous PST file and all tested fine. Opened outlook and the test emails were there. I had a friend send me an email to see if I could receive emails from an outside source... now after receiving the email, I tried to reply to the email and Outlook would crash every time I tried to reply. I asked him to send me another email from another email account, and the same thing happened with the second email. I search the "web" for this issue and found out to rename the ".srs" file to old and restart Outlook... no change in replying to any emails. I can compose an email and send it with no problem to anyone but I cant reply...

    Any ideas?

You'll have to get all Windows and Office updates installed. Keep re-checking Windows Update (make sure you have selected to receive updates for other Microsoft products too, so you'll get office updates too).

    Thanks Arie,
I forgot to mention that I didn't install any other software until the updates gave me a green light... including Windows 7 SP1. I installed Node32 v6, Firefox v19.0.2, updated Motherboard drivers (MSI 990FCA-GD80),and chipsets, AMD-8 (CPU), drivers and chipsets, EVGA drivers and software. Went back to "Windows Update" to see if "win-doze" didn't like anything... had a few "K" updates I updated them, Silverlight and Bing I hid because I don't use them. After the reboot, I installed MalwareBytes full version and checked Windows Update before another reboot (don't mind the reboot now that I have the SSD HDD :D), and I had the green light (Windows is up to date). Everything was stable now so I did a 3 day burn-in before installing "any" software, had a few more "K" updates and then I started the other software installs and everything was fine... another day burn-in not only for the software stability but for the hardware as well... everything is green until I receive an email that required a reply and that's where I am now... as of today, no Office updates were in the "Windows Update" and it's still green.

    Hello Arie,
The "K" updates are the (KBXXXXXX) updates for x64 based systems and there were a lot of them. Including the security updates, updates for the .NET and so on. I have the green check mark stating that "Windows is up to date" so I don't think the updates have anything to do with this issue. I had the Office updates selected to download any updates during the installation of Office, so that was the first place I looked to make sure if that was set to automatically update.

I went back and reviewed all of my settings in Outlook profile again and all settings test out and I receive that test setup default email, but the reply email is still causing Outlook to crash... ...so, I tried to setup a pop3 gmail account, got the test email... thinking that I could use a back door to reply email messages and that too crashed Outlook... I can send emails from both accounts but I can't reply... Don't know where to look now...

After searching for days for a fix I found out that my problem was ESET NOD32 Version 6 and not Outlook 2013. There was a bug with ESET build 308 and that was identified to have bugs with Outlook 2013. I had to upgrade to ESET 6 Build 314 and now I'm able to reply to all emails accounts.
