I have two versions of just one email account in Outlook 2010 and several data files. Is there a fail-safe way to connect the right data file to the right email account?

I need to do this because the junk mail options work on one version of the email account but it appears that the data file is connected to the other one.

I also get two windows of two different sets of reminders. One is current reminders; the other is old ones.

If you think this is confusing, you should be sitting in my chair.

Not sure I understand. Do you have two versions of Outlook running? If so, while it's possible to run two version of Office - Outlook will give you the most grief. You should uninstall one of them.

    Thank you for responding, Steve.

I have only one version of Outlook. It's 2010.

I have three (now) versions of my email account: xxx@comcast.net, xxx@comcast.net (1), and xxx@comcast.net (2). All three are using the same data file. Mail comes in to (1) and (2) but not to the third one.

Reminders: Two windows of reminders. One goes back 2 weeks. The other doesn't.

When I add something to my calendar, I get: "The reminder for this will not appear because the item is in a folder that doesn't support reminders.

I've been in this fix once before, about 1 year ago. I have no idea how I got here, nor how I get out. Thank you so much for responding, and I hope you can help. I'm adding a picture of my Outlook panel, showing the multiple email addresses.
