Computer Experience: Somedays it's like Taz
Hi hrjr12
Please do this.
Please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (Windows Vista it’s Programs and Features) and remove the following (if present):
My Web Search (Cursor Mania)
WildTangent Web Driver <<I would remove this unless you can't live without it. (Known for Adware/Spyware)
Please re-open HiJackThis and scan only . Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.
O16 - DPF: RaptisoftGameLoader () - http://miniclip.com/hamsterball/raptisoftgameloader.cab
O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} () - http://ak.imgfarm.com/images/nocache...p1.0.0.8-2.cab
Now close all windows other than HiJackThis , then click Fix Checked.
Close HJT .
Now this please.
Now download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) from here or here and save the file to your desktop.
Double click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware , then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select 'Perform Quick Scan ', then click Scan .
The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Make sure that everything is checked , and click Remove Selected .
When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note below)
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Post the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.
Thanks
Geri
