Hello, I am very expericended with Windows and Macs. On my Dads computer (2000 Pro) he keeps getting these errors. These are not geniune errors.
Can anyone help me fix them or remove the program what is giving them?

First let me tell you I don't know if the message you receive is important or not and as such I can't help you with that.
But you can find in many places 'windows messenger service' CAN be used to send messages to you and TO ME it seems some kind of programm or site sends that message to you trying to persuade you to make use of products of www.regfixit.com .
It can be found as well that quite a number of companies claiming to clean your system actually install something that will keep telling you something is wrong and you definitively need their product.
    So be careful with that

What I would do is (I use all progs below myself)
    a) deactivate 'Windows messenger Service' (from Start / Settings / Control Panel / Administrative tools / Services choose 'Messenger' and disable it) you can read in many places it usually isn't needed
    b) use a program like Spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html to remove all kind of adware from your system
    c) use other programs to check your system like RegSeeker http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm (a good one)
    d) you COULD use Autoruns http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/Autoruns.mspx to see what programs are running on your system and disable suspected ones, but I guess using StartupContronPanel http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml would be enough in most cases as you can disable all progrs (one by one if needed) to see WHAT will be started (and probably causing the messagebox)

Good change Spybot and/or Regseeker will find the entry causing that messagebox and suggest to remove it

So to me it sounds the messagebox you get is suspicious and should be 'confirmed' by other tools. If these tools don't find and fix those errors I would forget about it as most probably it will be a suspicious site / programm
