Windows Explorer Transfer of Files

    I have windows 2000 and have a strange problem transferring files from desktop to folders and between folders in Windows Explorer. I copy, paste, drag but the file never moves. I get no error notice so I do not know how to search for help. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

    Try to drag with the right mouse button - you should get a menu and can choose what you wish to do. Only 'Move' should move the file.

    still stuck

    I still cannot transfer files between folders. I tried all of the usual methods but alas am having no luck.
