    What is the RUN command that allows me to save or delete the various program icon that appear on my Task Manager? (Win2000)

    Are you asking about being able to start or stop a service via the command prompt?

    I'm sorry, after I read my msg again I can see how you would be confused. In the right hand corner is a task bar with show icons and the time, audio, winmgr, etc. I know in Win98 you could change what would be running and what would not. I would like to eliminate some of those that keep loading. I hope that explains it further. Thank you.

    The SYSTRAY is the lower right hand corner of your screen.

    Many of the items can be right clicked on for options of loading or not. As ssmith10pn pointed out, you can also click start->run and type MSCONFIG to look in the startup tab.

    Also, Control Panel->Admin Tools->SERVICES
