Anyone know how to Turn Off Num Lock At Start Up? Google shows plenty of solutions for XP but I can't find the answer for Win ME. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I'll give it a try when I get to that computer.

    No Luck

No luck editing the registry. I did as instructed and no luck. Also looked at the config.sys file and there appears to be nothing there to edit. File size is 0kb when I open in Notepad as instructed. My keyboard (Logitech) must not be supported?

Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You may need to go into the BIOS to stop the Numlock. In most cases you press DEL when booting the computer, you'll see a message at the moment to do so, "Press DEL to enter setup ".
Then look under Advanced BIOS Features, it should be in there. It may say "Bootup Numlock Status" where you change it to ON or OFF. ESC should back you out when done in that menu.
Then Exit and Save Settings when done, make sure there is a Y in the prompt so it does save it.
