My screeen jumps and is sort of jerky as I scroll
down a web site. I would apreciate any help annyone can give. This is driving me crazy, I didnt know it wasnt normal till I saw a friends computer. I do have 'smooth scrolling' clicked, I forgot where it is now but I know its clicked and I rebooted there after. Thanks.

    Win 98 700-MHZ 512-RAM 54K AMD Athalon.

One quick thought but not the only potential solution - Play around with the refresh rate (Mhz) on your monitor - you'll find it by right clicking an open spot on your desktop, selecting properties, settings, advanced.

Try 70 and see if that helps.

Also, if possible what video card do you have?

    the settings

Well, I went to set it at 70. And it gave me a message saying not to do it if Im not sure that my monitor supports it. So I 'chickened out. Cause I dont know. I looked in device manager and I dont see the name of my video card anywhere.

Let us see if Belarc can ID it. It will be listed under Display if it can ID it.
