For many of these you can run regedit->searck for the old name and replace it with the new.

The changes can be made in the registry at the following location:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
    CurrentVersion

Look in the right pane and double click on the one's you would like to change.

    Best Regards,

Also if I may add to the preceding thread's info, this may not change the "Computer Name ". There may have been a different entry at some time made via the Network Neighborhood.

    So try this:
If you want to change your computer's name in Network Neighborhood, and if you're working in Win 98/ME, then right-click on the Network Neighborhood icon, choose Properties, and select the Identification tab. Change the value in the "Computer name" field and click on OK (at which point you may be prompted to insert your Windows CD). Eventually you'll be asked to restart your PC for the change to take effect.

Or make the change via Regedit:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\
    Control\ComputerName\ComputerName

Look in the right pane and double click on the one you would like to change. Then exit Regedit, and restart your PC for the change to take affect.

    Hope this helps.
