A website wants to open webcontent

I have a problem with pop up windows when I try to access the
internet using 'explorer' . The warning window says 'a website wants to open web content using this program on your computer' and repeatedly asks me to
allow / disallow...but no matter what I do there is actually no response
from the 'window' other than to disappear when I press disallow, only
to pop up again less than a minute later
i.e ...this website wants to open web content.....
Three in particular are appearing:
NAME..files>windowslivetoolbar/msa_sl.exe
NAME: SkypeNames
NAME: Adobe Flash Player
NAME: esl printables .......................these all seem
to be multiplying and are representative of programmes Ia ppear to have on the tool bar.

Please can anyone help me clear this. I'm using windows 7

This is a feature of the Protected Mode in Internet Explorer 7 & 8 .....

How to Reset IE Security Warning "A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer" to default
Quote:
Click to check the option "Do not show me the warning for this program again" if you already verified the program and you don't want to ask you again.
IE7 in Windows Vista: Configuring Your View Source Editor Although it says Vista it is also true in 7 AFAIK.

New Functionality: Marking a thread as 'Resolved'

We have added new functionality to the forum that allows you to mark your threads as 'Resolved'.

It is considered courteous to post a reply if you have been able to resolve your problem, or received an answer to your question. If you were given multiple suggestions/solutions, it is also helpful if you would list the solution that worked for you.

Once you have posted those details, when still looking at your thread, near the top of your thread you'll see Thread Tools. Click the down arrow to expand the drop down menu, at the bottom of it you'll see Mark this thread as solved. Click on it to mark your thread as solved.

If later you find that the problem has returned, and you had previously marked your thread as solved, follow the steps above. Instead 'Mark this thread as solved' you will see that in this case Mark this thread as unsolved is listed.

Please read the User Guide for more information.
