Resolved Downloads Disappear Fix

I tried every fix I could find on this BBS and on the internet at large but could not fix the Downloads Disappear problem until I installed the free "Download Accelerator Plus"

I found this work around because I could not discover why the downloads disappear. The file name showed up in the destination folder only to disappear. I used IE options to delete everything and the reset it to its original settings then I used Task Manager to stop every process I could. Finally one download was saved to disk. But only this one file and then they were disappearing again.

My observation is that some combination of software running on my machine is interfering. I am using Windows 7 32 bit and the included IE 8 fully patched and updated.

 

I am having a similar problem. I apreciate any help.

 

Using Download Accelerator is still working for me so I have not tried any other solution.
