A friend had his computer invaded by grandchildren causing many problems! I have solved most of them, but I am left with one. When loading IE7, a window opens with part of the screen content one would expect, but it then disappears. I went on to the Microsoft site using Chrome) and downloaded the installation file and re-installed IE7, but no improvement. Any ideas please. He has Windows XP 3

    Installing IE8 bwon't solve anything.
If kids were on computer then more than likely the computer got infected with some sort of malware. That would be the first thing I'd check for. Post a thread in the Removing Malware forum here.
