I don't like bing as a search engine. I want to get rid of it and go back to google. I have found lots of advice on the internet, but perhaps none of it is related to Windows 7 or my ( latest ? ) version of IE - since the things I am told to do just can't be done. Who can rid me of this pestilent thing ?
It is at the top right hand corner of the browser - next to the address bar.
If I go to Tools/internet options - I have google set as my home page, but google doesn't appear anywhere when I actually open IE. , and I have to go to favourites to find it - every time.
I do find that google gives me much better answers to my questions !
In the top right hand corner were the search bar is on the far right there is a arrow pointing down click on it and if google is not in the list click on find more search providers, the go to tools and set ias the defalt
Thanks Chaps - I followed tmarks instructions ( 'cos he was the first) and after a few failures - because i was too stupid to read the second column as well the first - I got there. I think... crossed fingers, anyway.
