toolbar and Internet Explorer 8

    I have Internet Explorer 8 on my Windows XP computer. On an internet screen the third bar from the top is the "Favorites" bar. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this bar? Thank you very much abm

    Right click in the blank area adjacent to the Home icon and uncheck Favourites Bar or Tools - to right of Home Icon- > Toolbars.
