Shockwave Flash causes IE7 to lock up

I intermttently have problems with IE7 locking up if Adobe Shockwave Flash is enabled. But if I disable it thru Tools > Manage Add-Ons I don't have a problem.

I deleted Shockwave thru the ControlPanel and downloaded it fresh but that did not help. I also deleted and reloaded IE7 - didn't help.

Any suggestions?
