Disappearing "Favorites" folder

I've posted this question here before, but I am unable to (A) remember how to fix it, or (B) find the instructions I wrote down. Another brain malfunction.

A rather large folder (consisting of 17 items) has ended up as a "sub-folder" within another folder. (Specifically, "shopping" has migrated to "re-model. ")

There is no dropping and dragging (except in my attempts to walk around here while both selling my house and re-modeling a condo). The "shopping" folder will not leave "re-model" in the "Favorites" list nor in the "organize folders" list. It's not going to budge.

So, may I trouble y'all with yet another answer to this problem? Deleting the entire folder and "re-filling" it again would take time I don't have right now. Surely there is an easier way "?
