Windows IE 8 Search Provider Default Message
A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider settings for IE. IE has reset this setting to your orignal search provider, Window Live( search .live.com). IE will now open search Setting, where you can change this setting or install more search providers.
I click OK then it takes me to the Manage Add On window. I click on the left add on type search provider tab. I then see three providers. I made Google #1 , Yahoo! Search #2, and Windows Live #3 it also shows Win Live default and I can not make any of the others default. I close the window and search and use the web OK . But next time I start IE8 I have to go though the whole process again.
What is it looking for?
OS is Windows XP
Alex of Tennessee
Thanks

When I was running Vista I also encountered this error message and I was able to get it resolved by following that solution I linked to. Let me know if the solution worked or not.
