Question IE8 File Menu missing

After my sister installed IE8 via Microsoft Update, her File Menu is missing. How can this be fixed?

I think the most likely cause is that it is not 'enabled'. By default in both IE7 & 8 the Menu bar is hidden.

Richt click in a blank area to the left of the Home icon and check Menu Bar in the dialogue.
