(hi napaonline.com)..the use of the "Change Vehicle" control. You change the type of automobile you have in order to look at,and shop for different part specs.
Now if you cannot choose the type of vehicle you have there is not any way to shop for parts.Since everything is vehicle specific. Therefore none of the shopping there could provide adaquate selection.
With this IE7 problem, the selection of vehicle is made.Make, and model. Then choosing 'submit',...the website simply ignores the input, and returns to the Napa homepage.
Check out the site.Consider the type of control it is.Make some suggestions,as to what I might do.Some of the IE7 'Settings'can be changed.
Help would be thankful.[ ]

FireFox Browser Works at the Sites Control
Using Mozilla Firefox browser however. The same site www.napaonline.com works with its web sites "Vehicle Selection Control."
I'm a newbie to using Firefox. But decided to compare use of the site to see if it was the site or the IE7 browser. The Firefox works ok though.I have not yet turned off the "You are about to send non-encrypted information " warning for it. Although I no longer receive such a warning with IE7.
This is not the only web site I have had problems with involving IE7.I do online insurance payments, and as I upgraded to IE7 (from IE6)in November last year.So did my Insurance site have an upgrade. But it also will not work details for online fields' properly with IE7.I have had to revert to walking my auto payments to the local office.
I have told the Insurance company about it.They gave me a reply ticket through the email. But I dont play tennis on a broken racket as it were. They know my problem, but as I had told them.I do not enjoy submitting personal information to something I do not expect to have returned as received. The downtown office is fine.
I have not tried the Firefox browser with this site.I have also missed any of my online banking for the problems concerning IE7. At least I had no problems with IEi6 is all aspects of online interaction.

Help with Microsoft Has all the doors closed.
[ ][ ] Any suggestions would be helpful.Microsoft has no outlet of wich to submit problems with given details. No place to adress something someone would anticipate some reply too.If you do know of such a spot I would like to know about it.I would not however want a 35$ submission of anykind.Since if I had a nicket for every problem ...well we know about this.

Are security settings user specific? I was just thinking perhaps it's something in your security settings. The change vehicle thing works fine for me with it in the internet zone but quits working if I add it to the restricted zone. Just to see, try adding it to your trusted sites. I had to refresh the site to get it working again after I removed it from the restricted zone.
__________There are a lot of sites in the Bad Zone.Napaonline is not one of them.
Sites Added to this zone muse use the https:/prefix.This prefix assures a secure connection.
Andcheckbox) Require server verification(Httpsfor all sites in this zone.
I cant see that my 'Trusted Sites' will work right if I uncheck the box to simply allow this site.
_____________ Security Setting Equivalent
Also I checked the security settings for both User IE7. Sessions. They are the same in the Internet Zone.
______________ Pass the cookie jar.
There is another sort of off the wall trait for my system here. That of fact of the computer name.I originally named the computer one name.,then named it something different later on. As to 'workgroup name'.The 'workgroup name,I see at the log-on screen. If I for example dont sign on for a while.
While I see the original computer 'computer name'at the computers My Computer properties.
I cant imagine a return from (or not)for a server referencing ,or refusing to reference x computer name. Or an incorrect computer name.Pass the cookie jar etc.e.g. System-Computer Name..[full computer name],[computer description name],Workgroup:[mshome..dont know why this makes me a workgroup'?
_______________I'll mention another thing: Secunia Personal Software Inspector.
....says that my version of Java is an unsafe version.
There is however no other update available for/from the Sun Website.

I dont want a major breakdown here.Any jogging suggestions would be welcome.
Some particular setting somewhere..I'll probably pull IE7,Java,do a registry cleaning this weekend.
Thanks for reply. Dark Side of the Moon.PF.
