IE loads with Work offline

A friend recently upgraded to Broadband and now finds that IE always loads with "work offline" as the default setting. Obviously this can be changed in the File Menu, but how can I reset her default so that it will always work online when loaded?

It's a standard Dell PC with Window XP Home using OE and MS Works, not MS Office

 

In IE, click Tools>Internet Options>Connections tab and select 'Never dial a connection'. Click LAN Settings and uncheck 'Automatically detect settings'. Click OK. Go back and reselect 'Automatically detect settings' and click OK twice.
