A small thing but it bugs me - nearly as much as the spam itself.
The only effective way to control spam so far is to click on 'Message>Block Sender...' and 'OK' the next pop-up.
Only thing is, this used to be almost instant, now it takes 4 to 5 seconds. Big deal you say, but blocking a dozen and more per day is taking too long. Is the delay because there are SO many addresses in the 'Blocked List'?
Any other ideas?
Maybe a positive way to stop ALL spam (Yeah, dream on!)
Cheers
Jay

Yes, you are correct. I had over 600 pieces of spam in that folder at one time!!! It took forever to just open the message rule list if I wanted to create a rule for some other mail. THEN I had some rules that quit working all together. Once I cleaned out the blocked list, all my other rules worked again. Now I just click and delete them. Besides that, all the blocked list ever did was just dump it in the trash and I still had to empty that. I tried making a rule that DELETED FROM SERVER all the spam that came in, but it's also a pain since you have to copy/paste the offenders address each time they come in and you know that they change their addresses several times a day. You just can't keep up with it. Your best bet would be to try the mailwasher that Daizy suggested, or maybe even some others.
