pic won't show

I just started a new job and the comp (XP)I've been given won't show any pictures in IE6. The security default level was medium, I tried changing it to low, it wouldn't allow me so I went to custom, changes all the settings to enable to no evail. If I right click, show picture, the picture will show up.

edit: I just found out it has firefox installed. Could this be a factor. All the pictures show up in firefox.

Sidenote, I've disable all startup items on msconfig and ran adaware as well. How do I procede to figure out what is the cause/source?

FYI I consider myself an intermediate to advanced windows / computer user.

No

You have checked under Tools > Internet Options > Advanced 'Show Pictures'?

Are you just seeing the picture placeholders and/or the dreaded 'red x' - if so look at this thread ....
