DUN tries to reconnect after closing Outlook Express

Upon closing Outlook Express, DUN tries to reconnect. Have checked all settings and if I close out IE first and say yes to disconnect prompt, then I can close out OE without DUN trying to reconnect. On occassion I will get the disconnect prompt(auto disconnect) for about a second on the screen and then it goes away, then I attempt to close the connection using the icon and DUN will attempt to reconnect. Have run spyware and adware and removed anything I have thought might be offensive. Have run a full system virus check with AVG. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
