I work online a lot at work and have a lot of different sites open at one time. If I want to open a link on my desktop, it will open from an open browser which is minimized at the bottom of my screen. Is there a way to open a desktop link in a new browser instead of one that is currently being used?
    Thanks!
    Anna

Not exactaly sure what you mean. But you can open in a new browser through right click and selecting such or with left click + <shift>.

    new browser

I am not sure how else to explain it. Try this if you have a second and you'll see what i mean: open any website and minimize it. then try to open a shortcut internet link that you have placed on your desktop. when you open that link it will not open in a new browser, rather, it will open itself in the one that is currently being used which is minimized on the screen.
I have already tried the ways that were previously posted--they were unsuccessful.

    Found it!

Never mind, I figured it out. Tools, internet options, advanced, uncheck reuse windows for launching sites.
thanks for your help though! :)
