Outlook Express 6

When I used to send pix I would right click them and then click send to and then mail recipient. A dialog would come up and ask if I wanted to make the pix smaller of leave I usually selected smaller. Now when I click on a pix I do not get the dialog any more. How can I make this come up again?

That almost sounds like a WinXP power toy program to re-size pics.

Nikon software also has an e-mail plugin which resizes pics.

OLDSALTY --FWIW I have done quite a bit of searching on this. Others have had the problem, but no solution. Right Click menues are usually found in the Registry in "shellex\ContextMenuHandlers".
You could try an Edit|Find in Registry for these entries. But which one applies to the situation you are in, I cannot tell you.
Steve R Jones could be quite right by suggesting PowerToys. See Image Resizer
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
If that does not help, what items are in the menu when you right click on any image? Which ones are you missing from the list shown in the attachment below?
I suspect I used some program to add many of these options, but I just cannot remember which now. Did you disable Windows Picture and Fax Viewer by any chance?

Click Start, Run and type Regsvr32 Shimgvw.dll (enter)

That should restore the Picture resize function for you Salty.

OLDSALTY--surferdude2's suggestion should reactivate Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (assuming you have not uninstalled it). Hope that is the solution so I can stop worrying about where those context menu commands come from!
P.S. How were you able to show us a picture of the resizing window dialogue if you cannot access it?

OLDSALTY--You are most welcome.
surferdude2 gets only 60% of the credit for helping you but 100% credit for saving my sanity.

Not that I am aware of. I don't even know what that is?? But I thank you very much for the help. Now I can send some pics to the kids without causing there mail server to complain. My camera takes good pix at 2mp but the files are 700+KB. With this enabled they are only about 70kb. Thanks again!

Before I read your post Salty, I didn't realize that option existed. I tried it on mine and sure nuff, there it was. I just never sent an attachment that way. Thanks for rubbing my nose in it. We can call it an even push on the help since it goes both ways. I'll give 50% to you, 50% to Jim and the rest goes to me.
