ie closing after using back button

I am running ie 6 with xp and sp1. recently when i started using ie and use either the back button or backspace key i get the message.

IE HAS ENCOUNTED AN ERROR AND MUST CLOSE.

here is a cut and past from details sections

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2800.1458 Offset: 0015ffdf

Is anyone able to make any sense of this?

Thanks in advance

Scott

If this doesn't help, suggest you run the SP2 update. Suggest you run it even if the "geek" site fixes the prob.
