My son has had a problem reading his mail in outlook express. It comes in, but when he opens it, it is blank.
I was thinking I'd do a repair, but he can't locate his WinXP CD. Okay, should I uninstall outlook express 6 and download a new version from Microsoft, and if so what is there to the uninstall.
Thanks

Before you do this it would be wise to check for viruses, trojans, adware and malware.
Via Quicklinks in my sig download and update Spybot, Ad-aware (configure as shown here), run both and delete all they find - those marked in green are safe to delete in Spybot.
I assume you have antivirus with the latest definitions loaded - to be on the safe side run an online antivirus scan from Housecall (see Quicklinks) and check that you have the XP firewall active at the very least or a third party firewall.
If all these come up clean - you will undoubtedly find some adware, etc and the problem is not resolved then go for the repair option.
BTW - if your son sends himself an email with some text in the message body is this received blank?

I checked my Adaware settings, ran Tojan Scan and virus scan.
My problem may be I have no CD.
I sent email from his machine and body of message was blank.
