Can anyone please tell me how (if it can be done) to vary the font size, when printing out an Outlook Express email, whether received or sent, i.e., the print equivalent of View > Text Size for looking at a message on screen?

I realise that I can copy and paste the message into a Word document and then increase the font size, but this way loses the date and the whole of the header.

If you receive an email, you have to click "forward." Then go to Format and change to Rich Text...

Thanks, but unless I have somehow misunderstood you, your method seems not to work for me or, possibly, for my setup (W2K and OE).

Rich Text is already selected; changing the font size (I assume you intended me to do this),whether under the Subject in the message or in Format, has no effect and, in any event, Print is greyed out, so I couldn't print anyway!

Also, what about printing out emails which I have sent, as opposed to received, with a different font size, without first pasting the email into Word?

    Masochist,

    Try this:

    1. Open the e-mail you want to print.
    2. On the open e-mail menu bar, click View > Text Size. (Set the text to the desired size).
    3. On the open e-mail menu bar, click File > Print (Ctrl + P).

Thanks, but your suggestion doesn't help - I still print out with the same tiny font. I thought that View > Text Size was supposed only to change the font size for viewing on screen and had nothing to do with printing.

Thanks very much for the link to Inside Outlook Express, which is an excellent site and which does answer my question.

In case others are interested, I quote the answer:

"The print font size is also affected by Internet Explorer. If the font is too large or too small, change the text size in Internet Explorer by clicking View | Text Size and then try printing again. "

The catch is to use View > Text Size in Internet Explorer, NOT in Outlook Express.

Thanks also to the others, who tried to help me.
