Spawned browsers have no URL

For the past few weeks, whenever I click on a link which opens a new window (IE 6 and OE 6), the address bar comes up empty, and nothing else happens.

Using alt+tab to navigate, the icons in these spawned windows are sort of "greyed out".

Usually I can right click the link "copy shortcut" and paste it into the new window, but that's more than a little annoying.

It's a very effective popup stopper though.

Something in this information, IE6 opens blank/empty/seethrough windows, should provide the answer.
